The RBC Heritage golf tournament is not the only event happening in the Lowcountry in April. Here’s a calendar of events in Bluffton and Hilton Head — something for the entire family!
Mary Ann Putzier Memorial Art Show
Exhibit is from April 1-May 5 and opening reception is from 3-5 p.m. April 7 at the SoBA Gallery.
A memorial art show featuring watercolor paintings of local beloved artist Mary Ann Putzier will be held from April 1 – May 5 at The Society of Bluffton Artists (SoBA) gallery, located at 6 Church Street in Old Town Bluffton. The exhibit is free and open to the public.
A memorial service is scheduled for 2 p.m. with an art reception immediately after from 3-5 p.m. Sunday, April 7 at the SoBA gallery and the Center for Creative Arts, the building next door to the gallery. The events are open to the public.

The Role of Women in the History and Development of Hilton Head Island

Follow the timbering era and resort development as they pertain to the women whose causes helped establish a way of life on Hilton Head Island. Their decisions–from the home, to the environment, to the Arts, to the town—made living on Hilton Head Island more welcoming. This program ends when the journey becomes the current history.

Music and Taste on the Harbour at Shelter Cove Harbour & Marina

Now in its 11th season, the spring outdoor concert series will feature a variety of bands on select Thursday nights. The free event is open to the public, and mixes live, local music with gourmet food, shopping and sunset water views from 6-9 p.m. on Thursday evenings.
Climate Change

Marsh Tacky Tour

Learn about the history of these adaptable horses and take a trip to our historic barn. There you will meet the museum’s two resident horses, Comet and Hawk and learn about their care and conservation.

Tanger Outlets Hilton Head for our Easter Egg-stravaganza! Children aged 12 and under are welcome to join the hunt for eggs on the activities lawn located near Banana Republic at Tanger 2 at 11 AM. Eat It & Like It, Bluffton Restaurant Week
April 8-April 11
Eat It and Like It” is Savannah and Hilton Head Island’s Emmy-nominated voice of food, hosted by cooking (and eating) extraordinaire Jesse Blanco. The first annual Bluffton Restaurant Week will celebrate Bluffton’s best in food, with participating restaurants offering a special prix fixe menu – three courses for $40. Specials and prices will only be offered this week, so don’t miss out!
Natural History and Archaeology of Beer

Beer is the foundation of civilized life as we know it. Beginning 10,000 years ago, brewing led to the development of agriculture, settled life, and a myriad of other inventions. This presentation will take you from ancient Mesopotamia, China, and Egypt to the jungles of the Amazon to learn some of the science behind how beer is made and to see how it has impacted our lives in ways we likely never think about. You will view this beverage in a new light by the end of the lecture, even is beer isn’t your thing.

Brews Under the Stars

Enjoy live music and noteworthy beers from your favorite local brewers. Featuring specials from Southern Barrel and Bee-Town Mead & Cider, as well as a special custom-made brew from Salt Marsh Brewery. All proceeds from the night will benefit Bluffton Self Help.
Bring The Wild Alive
3-4 p.m. April 12 at the Coaastal Discovery Museum of Honey Horn
The presentation uses non-releasable birds of prey to educate about conservation, habitat loss, and the natural history of each bird presented. Lowcountry Raptors will introduce the audience to the majesty and beauty of these birds of prey in a close and personal setting.

A Taste of Bluffton Street Festival

Calhoun Street Festival: A Taste of Bluffton’s annual Street Festival on Calhoun Street in Beautiful Old Town Bluffton, SC. 21 and over must purchase admission ticket which includes wristbands for entry and one beverage ticket. Carolina Dreamers Car Club Cruise-In

Sea Turtle Conservation: A Changing Landscape
